Strategic Medical Associates is dedicated to educating and training the next generation of clinical researchers, with a mission centered on closing the gap between scientific opportunity and real-world clinical trial participation. Through its web-based training modules, the organization equips early-career investigators with the practical skills needed to design, conduct, and lead research that reflects the communities most affected by disease — ultimately working to increase enrollment and representation in clinical trials nationwide. The Consortium on Disparities of Urologic Conditions (ConDUC is proud to partner closely with Strategic Medical Associates in this effort, providing the training infrastructure behind ConDUC's Mentorship Training Program. Together, the two organizations are building a pipeline of skilled, community-connected investigators equipped to design better research and reach the patients too often left out of it.

This past semester Clark Atlanta University engaged in a novel course (presented by Strategic Medical Associates) within the School of Arts and Sciences that exposed our scholars to the world of clinical research in the development of new medicines. This cutting-edge and forward-thinking course allowed our students to not only learn from pre-eminent professionals but also gave them the opportunity to gain practical experiences at the City of Hope Cancer Center. Through this course, our scholars were also able to earn certification in the Good Clinical Practices Regulations that demonstrates their mastery in the fundamentals of clinical drug trials and helps prepare them for many career opportunities in research in addition to providing guidance to their communities regarding appropriate clinical trial participation.
